Roborock S5 vs S5 Max vs S7: Are parts interchangeable?

No, they are not. While the Side Brushes are often universal across Roborock models, the Main Brush and Filters differ.

  • S5/S6: Use the standard bristle brush and wider filters.
  • S7/S8: Use the all-rubber red brush and 'Vibrarise' mop pads.
  • Q-Series: Often uses different dust bags.
Always check your specific model name in the app before ordering.

Mop Pads: Vibrating vs. Standard

For robots with 'Sonic Mopping' (like the Roborock S7 or Ecovacs T9), you must use specific mop pads. These pads are designed to split into two zones—one for vibration and one for absorption. Using a standard static cloth on a vibrating robot will reduce cleaning performance.

Maintaining your Robot for Longevity

To keep your robot navigating smartly, you should wipe the Cliff Sensors and Lidar Turret monthly. Filters should be washed (if washable) every 2 weeks and replaced every 3-6 months. Worn-out side brushes will scatter debris rather than sweeping it—replace them as soon as the bristles bend or fray.

How often should I replace my robot vacuum brushes and filters?

To keep your robot running efficiently, we recommend the following replacement schedule.
